Rosencrantz and Guildenstern at the International Shakespeare Festival of Gyula


The 6thInternational Shakespeare Festival started at the beginning of last week in the city of Gyula, Hungary. The two week event will be ended by one of our theatre's productions: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead by Tom Stoppard. A play directed by Victor Ioan Frunză and awarded with the Prize for Best Performance of the Year 2009 given by the UNITER (Romanian Theatre Union).

The festival program includes productions from Germany, England, the USA, and even Zimbabwe, the list of participants being completed by names like Peter Brook, Michael Pennington, Bea von Malchus, Zsótér Sándor sau Andrei Șerban.

Our performance can be seen on the 17th of July, from 20:30 at the Castel of Gyula. The show will be preceded by the projection of the famous movie Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead directed by Tom Stoppard himself in 1990.
